Eddie, Erris, and a childhood friend formed Echo Chamber in 1991. After several bassists came and went, Chris joined the band in 1992.

Influenced by bands like The Smiths and The Cure, Eddie wanted to recreate that early 1980's sound with a 1990's edge. With Erris' tastes leaning toward heavy metal, and Chris' towards punk and rockabilly, they created a unique sound.

Ansel joined the band in 1996 after answering a "New Times" ad seeking a vocalist. "I've always been told I sing with an English accent and I sound like Morrissey" he was quoted as saying. The puzzle was finally complete.

With their self-titled CD now released, Echo Chamber is hoping for good things in the near future.
